Includes a self-learning module to practice loading data and creating a do-file.
Session 2: Merging and Managing Data
Learn how to merge datasets, label variables, and manage files. Understand the basic structure of a clean and organized dataset.
Includes a self-learning module focused on merging files and editing variables.
Session 3: Reproducible Workflows
Learn the principles of reproducible research and how to structure your projects using do-files and logs.
Includes a self-learning module to create a reproducible project setup.
Session 4: Cleaning and Exploring Data
Inspect, filter, and sort data. Learn how to deal with missing values and create new variables.
Includes a self-learning module to explore and clean example datasets.
Session 5: Descriptive Statistics and Regressions
Produce summary statistics and run simple regressions. Understand how to interpret the output and check for errors.
Includes a self-learning module to run and interpret your first regressions.

Target Group
This course is designed for participants who are new to Stata. It is ideal for students, research assistants, and early-career researchers who want to gain confidence using Stata for data cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
Prerequisites
- No prior Stata experience required
- Access to Stata (version 15 or later, at least Intercooled)
- A basic understanding of statistical terms (e.g., mean, regression) is helpful but not required
Additional Information
- All teaching materials will be made available to participants
- A certificate of completion will be issued after the course
