Jan Sauermann is a professor at the Institute for Evaluation of Labour Market and Education Policy (IFAU) in Uppsala, Sweden. He is the founder of StataTeX Blog, one of the leading blogs for Stata code and applied econometrics. Jan has extensive teaching experience in labor economics and applied econometrics at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and is known for his clear, hands-on approach to data analysis.
His research focuses on learning and incentives in the workplace, gender differences in the labor market, and the evaluation of public policy. He uses state-of-the-art empirical methods, including field experiments, difference-in-differences estimation, regression discontinuity designs, and survey experiments.
